When Cooper said he was taking me to Walthamstow to explore a cool London secret he’d heard about called God’s Own Junkyard, well, I thought he’d slightly lost the plot!
But, as it turns out, this place is extraordinary. Housed in an unassuming warehouse, the immense collection of neon signs and vintage finds from old nightclubs, bars, film sets and abandoned stores really lights you up. It’s fascinating. There’s a bar and cafe too.
Take a look around God’s Own Junkyard with us…

Drone coach, Richard, hosted us on a London drone experience to find out more about how to operate this tech safely and to introduce us to the possibilities drones have on our work as bloggers and content creators.
This all happened on the same day the government in the UK announced drone registration for all users, which is probably a good thing in our opinion.
Read our beginner’s guide and 6 fly-safe tips, and stay tuned for our drone footage of London, coming soon!
If you’re visiting the city, don’t forget to explore via the Thames as well. The river bus isn’t very expensive and gives you so many beautiful, historical old views of this fab city we are lucky enough to call home.

Here’s a recent adventure we embarked upon starting at the Tower of London and riding the Thames Clipper to Greenwich.
Whitecross Street food market in London is a longstanding secret with locals and gets very busy at lunchtime.
This little gem has something for even the fussiest palate – including falafel, burgers, Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, Indian, Moroccan and my personal favourite, hog roast.
The area is also brimming with history, so take a walk around to view old buildings and plauques.
We love our east London hub in Dalston – there’s so much great music, theatre, coffee, art and now… antiques.
I’ve disocvered this amazing and eclectic Dalston cafe and antiques store called Aris – you simply must step inside to experience it, now open in east London (diagonally opposite Dalston Junction train (overground) station).
